|Recommended: YesGreat place — in last 6 months the current mgt team has turned this property around.....i have been here 7 years.....security is now excellent, mgt responsive listens to residents....i would recommend residents take part in the community, thru security watch team, or just report things as you see them....... 5 star...
|Recommended: YesLove it! — I've lived at the Yards for years and absolutely love it! Location is amazing, staff is wonderful and super helpful. In 2 years I've only had one maintenance issue that was resolved expeditiously!
|Recommended: YesI enjoyed my 7 years here. Great staff, too. — I found all the staff to be professional, friendly and courteous and enjoyed my 7 years at The Yards. Manager Betsy Pott set the tone for both the staff and the residents, and made it a great place to live.
|Recommended: YesOverall, it's a great place to live. — It's a great place to live. The location is perfect for access to Transportation, Shopping, Dining, Theater, and all the events going on Downtown. I especially like the area, the excellent attention by the staff regarding any issues/questions. I believe I "have chosen wisely".
|Recommended: YesGreat place to relax after work. — The best part is downtown being right outside your back door. It doesn't take too long to get anywhere and you can easily get to work if it's near any MAX line.
|Recommended: YesThe Yards has a lovely community feel to it. — The Yards make you feel safe, it's conveniently located to downtown, the Pearl, the Waterfront and the MAX.
It's has a great balance of College students, Collage Graduates that are starting their career and Seniors/retires.
|Recommended: YesGood and laid back, one neighbor is immature though. — It's a beautiful grounds in one of the most convenient places in Portland. Rent isn't bad for what you get and you can escape from downtown with Union Station acting as a barrier when you want to get away. The store and cafe across the street are also great places to hang out or buy food, especially the cafe where they bake some awesome stuff and have killer pizzas. If you like to run you can get to the waterfront trail without any effort and have a nice view while you work out.
The gym isn't bad either, though I don't know why'd you'd use the treadmill, even if it's raining outside. The towers in there will give you plenty of a total body workout too if you know how to use them.
Most of the neighbors are really cool, just one seems to have trouble with her boyfriend and they fight a lot and drink way to much. You also get to smell the awesome food that they guy on the corner makes. You can buy some of his creations at the cafe across the street too.
|Recommended: YesPretty good overall. Great location/accessibility. — Great except the train horn noise. This is a HUGE problem with the Yards. They should really lobby to get a train crossing put in that could allow for the area to be a quiet zone.
|Recommended: YesNice, close to everything. — I would say that its great.
|Recommended: YesPleased with the personnel and facilities here at the Yards — It's great! All the amenities are convenient and well maintained. Reasonable rent and wonderful neighborhood.
